About this role
Aspire Allergy & Sinus is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our on-site allergy lab. This non-retail role supports internal medical providers and patients nationwide by compounding unique, patient-specific allergy treatments.
Day-to-day responsibilities include using compounding equipment to combine allergen mixtures into appropriate dosages as prescribed. You will also utilize custom prescription tracking software and Electronic Medical Records to manage prescriptions and maintain patient account information.
You will collaborate with patient services and clinical staff to ensure satisfaction while maintaining a safe, clean workstation. The role requires working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, following all safety procedures and USP compounding guidelines.
This position offers a consistent schedule with half-day Fridays and the opportunity to specialize in allergy compounding. You will take part in relevant training and educational programs to further develop your expertise in a growing healthcare organization.
Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPht) or Texas State Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) required
- High School diploma or GED required
- Detail-oriented individual with a positive attitude who enjoys a challenging environment
- Focused work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of standards and all relevant USP compounding guidelines is a plus
- Proficient with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Prescription Management software systems and standard office equipment
Responsibilities
- Use compounding equipment to combine allergen mixtures into the appropriate dosage as listed in the corresponding prescription
- Utilize custom prescription tracking software and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to track prescriptions and update patient account information
- Collaborate with patient services and clinical staff to ensure patient satisfaction
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by setting up and sanitizing your workstation
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for preparation of compounds
- Monitor and maintain compounding equipment
- Assist with packing and shipping patient outbound packages using an automated shipping system
- Maintain inventory levels for raw production materials and shipping supplies
