About this role

Functions as a clinical expert in a specialty practice area such as critical care, ICU, ED, and/or nutrition support. Assesses and evaluates drug therapy and makes recommendations as appropriate. Serves as a resource for pharmacists advancing their clinical skills.

Evaluates patient drug therapies in high-acuity settings like ICU and ED. Provides nutritional support recommendations tailored to critical care needs. Monitors and adjusts pharmacotherapy to optimize patient outcomes in dynamic environments.

Works in environments with blood-borne pathogen exposure, bio-hazardous waste, and chemicals. Handles physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and frequent standing/walking. Utilizes personal protective equipment amid varying indoor/outdoor conditions and shift work.

Serves as a preceptor for students and residents in pharmacy programs. Supports skill development for clinical pharmacists. Contributes to a collaborative healthcare team focused on specialized patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of pharmacy
  • Eligible for Georgia Licensure; licensed prior to start date
  • ASHP-accredited PGY1 and PGY2 residencies or equivalent experience
  • BPS certified preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
  • Ability to lift 20-50 lbs occasionally and 11-25 lbs frequently
  • Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, and close eye work
