The Locum Pharmacist supports proper investigational product management and pharmacy operations in Singapore.

The role ensures compliance with protocol requirements and regulatory standards such as GMP, GDP and GCP. Daily work covers sourcing receipt storage preparation dispensing labelling and inventory accountability for multiple product types. Extemporaneous preparation and aseptic compounding are performed as needed.

Activities take place in a cleanroom environment that requires special gowning. Study support occurs predominantly in early mornings and on some weekends. Professional pharmacy standards are upheld to maintain subject safety throughout clinical trials.

Requirements

  • Singapore Registered Pharmacist
  • Experience in compounding or working in cleanroom or manufacturing setting
  • Meticulous and detail-orientated
  • General GMP and GCP knowledge
  • Flexible with work hours to participate in study activities which occurs predominantly in the early mornings and some weekends
  • Able to work in cleanroom environment which requires special gowning procedure

Responsibilities

  • Assist in proper management of Investigational Product (IP), non-IP, Extemporaneous Preparation (EP), Controlled Drug (CD), Special Security Substance (SSS) and Therapeutic Product (TP) including sourcing receipt storage preparation dispensing labelling inventory accountability reconciliation retention and destruction
  • Perform extemporaneous preparation (EP), aseptic compounding and other dispensing activities
  • Assist in pharmacy operational activities such as inventory management ensuring cleanliness of pharmacy areas and equipment and environmental monitoring
  • Ensure proper management of randomization and unblinding procedures for blinded clinical trials
  • Practice and uphold professional pharmacy standards to ensure safety of subjects
  • Perform other pharmacy duties as required
