About this role

The Clinical Pharmacist in Training is responsible for the appropriate and accurate drug distribution to hospital inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves evaluating the appropriateness of drug regimens. It ensures timely preparation and delivery of medications.

Daily tasks include overseeing the work of Pharmacy Technicians. The position serves as a resource to the department and other hospital staff, all under licensed pharmacist supervision. This supports efficient pharmacy operations in a hospital setting.

Requirements

  • Active pharmacy intern license for state of RI
  • In the final year of school at an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Hospital experience preferred
  • Knowledge of drug distribution processes
  • Ability to work under supervision of licensed pharmacist

Responsibilities

  • Distribute drugs appropriately and accurately to hospital inpatients and outpatients under supervision
