About this role
Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the filling and packaging of prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner for delivery to customers. This role is part of Guardian Pharmacy of Columbus, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, which is reimagining medication management and transforming care.
Day-to-day tasks include preparing prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate medications from inventory. You will apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble orders into bins, and alert the pharmacist on duty of any scanning issues. Maintaining inventory levels and ensuring adequate supply is also part of the daily workflow.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
- Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration as required by state
- National Certification preferred
- Must possess intrinsic drive to excel with values aligned to company philosophy
- Ability to think ahead, plan, and manage time efficiently
- Ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both strategic and functional levels
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team members
Responsibilities
- Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
- Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins in an accurate and timely manner.
- Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.
- Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.
- Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
- Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
