A hospital system built for and by the community continues to expand services to meet growing population needs. Work collaboratively with Pharmacy and Oncology teams to provide patient-centered care in the ambulatory oncology clinic. Supervise chemotherapy preparation and resolve day-to-day clinical and operational issues.

Provide drug information to physicians, nurses and other clinicians to enhance patient care. Perform clinical review and verification of all medication orders. Offer education to patients to promote optimal drug use and support oncology clinic operations.

Mentor Pharmacy residents, students and interns while participating in oncology program quality improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Currently licensed by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A of the Registry)
  • Relevant clinical experience in oncology preferable
  • Working knowledge of OPIS preferable
  • Working knowledge of Meditech preferable
  • Membership to CAPhO an asset
  • Knowledge of hazardous sterile compounding, including NAPRA standards
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal and written skills
  • Excellent computer skills

Responsibilities
