About this role

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician for our Hospital Pharmacy. This is your opportunity to partner with a team of medical professionals to provide Love+Medicine in a patient-centered environment.

In this role, you will work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday between 6am and 2:30pm, with every third weekend and three holidays per year. You will support the hospital pharmacy team in preparing and distributing medications, ensuring accuracy and safety in every step.

You will join a not-for-profit, patient-centered healthcare network that includes 11 hospitals and more than 100 clinics across Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Our team of over 4,500 dedicated nurses and providers is committed to delivering primary, specialty, and emergency care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program or at least one year working as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Registered with the Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services (WIRPhT)
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute medications for hospital patients under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Maintain accurate patient medication records and inventory levels
  • Operate pharmacy automation and technology systems
  • Assist in compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations
  • Verify medication orders and ensure proper labeling and packaging
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, nurses, and providers
  • Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and compliance standards
