This PRN Clinical Pharmacist position supports the Central Pharmacy at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, part of Advocate Aurora Health. The role involves providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care across variable shifts to ensure safe and effective medication use.
Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders, preparing and dispensing medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. The pharmacist will also monitor drug therapies and provide drug information to clinical staff.

Requirements
- Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of North Carolina
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of a PGY-1 pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and medication safety practices
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
- Excellent clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and electronic health records
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Prepare and dispense medications according to established protocols
- Monitor patient drug therapies for safety and efficacy
