Symbria Rx Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to lead the production team by example and monitor workflow based on operational demands. This role supports long-term care pharmacy settings such as assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care.

The Lead Production Technician provides basic supervision, ensures adherence to policies and procedures, and assists the department supervisor in meeting state and federal regulations. They communicate obstacles in workflow to enhance operational efficiency and participate in training new technicians.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling, and commercial arithmetic with ability to write clearly and legibly.
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
  • General computer knowledge including Windows applications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as operational needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Pharmacy experience preferred; minimum one year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the production team by example and monitor and assign workflow to production pharmacy technicians based on department needs and operational demands.
  • Assist the department supervisor with ensuring the department meets all standards of practice to comply with necessary state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in the corrective action process as needed in partnership with management and/or Human Resources.
  • Provide objective input at 90-day and annual performance evaluations.
  • Communicate timely with department supervisor regarding obstacles in workflow to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the training program of all new Production Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring appropriate instruction and guidance per department and company policies.
  • Assist the department supervisor in tracking quality measures including accurate dispensing and productivity standards.
  • Perform the principal functions and responsibilities of the department being supervised as needed.
