About this role

Provides leadership and oversight of the daily tasks performed by pharmacy technicians and other support staff. Coordinates scheduling of work assignments and daily priorities while overseeing operational workflows.

Identifies breakdowns in workflow and re-prioritizes tasks to facilitate timely medication dispensing. Coordinates and triages tasks during planned or unplanned technology downtimes to maintain service continuity.

Prepares work schedules, evaluates time-off requests, and ensures adequate staffing within budget. Monitors employee time and attendance while developing onboarding and training plans aligned with the technician career ladder.

Develops and assesses compliance with policies, procedures, and state and federal laws. Identifies areas for process improvement and leads implementation of new processes to support operational excellence.

Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience and education
Four years experience as a pharmacy technician or relevant healthcare field

Responsibilities

Provides ongoing supervision of pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure applicable state and federal laws are followed.

Prepares and distributes work schedules for assigned technical and support staff while evaluating time-off requests.
Develops and assesses compliance of personnel with established policies, procedures, and state and federal laws.
Identifies areas for process improvement and leads implementation and evaluation of new processes.
Monitors employee time and attendance to ensure compliance with policy and completes disciplinary follow-up as appropriate.
Creates onboarding and training plans to ensure staff complete mandatory education and meet competency requirements.
Provides input for hiring, training, leading, and evaluating staff.
