You will dispense medical prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and perform administrative duties including data entry, inventory management, and prescription billing. Maintain a high degree of accuracy while adhering to all state and federal regulations. Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification as required by the state of employment
  • Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
  • Familiarity with pharmacy concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Current CPR certification
  • Adherence to infection control principles and patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medical prescriptions as directed by the Site Physician or Charge Nurse
  • Perform administrative duties including data entry, inventory management, and prescription billing
  • Maintain inventory records, receive and store incoming supplies, and verify stock
  • Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel as needed
  • Assist healthcare professionals within the scope of pharmacy technician certification
  • Adhere to infection control techniques and principles while respecting patient dignity and confidentiality
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and adhere to all state and federal regulations related to pharmaceuticals
