Technicians follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off for safe fulfillment. They assist as the first point of contact, showing empathy to create heartfelt, personalized moments for patients. This includes serving at register, over phone, and solving patient issues compassionately.
Technicians operate within the pharmacy team using SOPs, best practices, and effective communication. They contribute to a safe, inclusive culture where all feel valued and empowered. Flexibility for scheduling, business needs, and travel to market stores supports high-performing team dynamics.
New Technicians complete a rigorous company training program and meet state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. They embrace a growth mindset, remain receptive to feedback, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge. This enables better assistance for patients' health needs.
Requirements
- Complete rigorous company training program
- Satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements per State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices consistently
- Demonstrate genuine care and empathy in all patient and colleague interactions
- Operate effectively at pharmacy workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, deliveries, and returns
- Understand and comply with pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical principles
Responsibilities
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, creating personalized moments, and solving patient problems
- Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stock
- Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset and being receptive to feedback
- Remain flexible for scheduling, business needs, and voluntarily travel to stores in the market
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, local laws, regulations, and CVS policies for patient safety
