Requirements

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Alberta
  • Additional Prescribing Authority (APA) required
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

  • Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
  • Commitment to continuous professional development

Responsibilities

  • Independently assess, prescribe, and manage drug therapy under APA
  • Provide comprehensive medication assessments and follow-ups
  • Deliver chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia)
  • Administer injections and other expanded scope services
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide prescription and OTC counselling tailored to patient needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and clinical records
  • Manage clinic workflow, scheduling, and follow-up care plans
