Accuracy Checking Technicians serve as final checkers for dispensed items in a fast-paced, high-volume, and target-driven environment. You will ensure all prescriptions are accurately dispensed and performance targets consistently achieved. Effective communication across pharmacy teams is essential.

Work with key teams across the business including customer service, purchasing, operations, and pharmacists. Comply with dispensary operations procedures while maintaining a fun, relaxed, and friendly workplace. Adhere to all legal, ethical, professional, and company requirements.

Requirements

  • Accuracy Checking Technician qualification or Pharmacy Technician with the ACT module and committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • IT literate
  • Experience performing final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions
  • Knowledge of pharmacy labelling procedures
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, target-driven dispensary
  • Familiarity with legal and ethical pharmacy standards

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all prescriptions received are dispensed daily and support the clinical team with day-to-day activities
  • Comply with dispensary operations procedure and meet internal targets for dispensing quality and accuracy in a high-volume environment
  • Adhere to all legal, ethical, professional and company requirements
  • Take ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy
  • Ensure appropriate quality controls are in place and communicate to pharmacy teams
  • Work with key teams across the business including customer service, purchasing, operations and pharmacists
  • Participate in continuous professional development
  • Ensure that the workplace remains fun, relaxed and friendly
