Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Valid pharmacist license to practice in the State of Wisconsin
  • Immunization certification through an accredited organization or school of pharmacy, required for outpatient pharmacy settings
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification with hands-on learning, required for outpatient pharmacy settings
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with technicians, ancillary staff, and other healthcare professionals

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate control over medication dispensing and pharmacy inventory
  • Interpret, clarify, and evaluate medication orders for appropriateness
  • Provide care across the lifespan, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients
  • Use pharmacy computer systems effectively to support safe and efficient workflow
  • Educate patients, staff, and others on medications and pharmacy-related topics
  • Help oversee daily pharmacy operations with professionalism and efficiency
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and committees to support cost-effective, high-quality medication therapy
