Pharmasave #444 Idylwyld is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to join the team in Saskatoon. The role supports pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in delivering high-quality patient care at a community pharmacy location.

Daily work includes greeting customers, answering phone calls professionally, and assisting with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions. The assistant will accurately count, measure, and package medications while following established protocols under supervision.

Additional duties cover receiving and stocking shipments, monitoring inventory levels, rotating stock, and supporting audits. The position also involves keeping the pharmacy clean, disposing of expired medications safely, and handling clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and insurance claims.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy
  • Proficiency with Kroll and high accuracy in prescription data entry considered an asset
  • Completion of a pharmacy assistant program considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes or containers
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
