About this role
This Clinical Pharmacy Technician role is based in a closed-door pharmacy at our Central Processing operation, which provides clinical support to patients and data entry support to retail pharmacies across Ohio and Pennsylvania. The position focuses on both outgoing and incoming clinical call initiatives, making it a vital link between patients and their medication therapy.
Day-to-day responsibilities include executing Medication Therapy Management through competency in MTM platforms, scheduling and performing follow-up adherence calls, and accurately reading and entering new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer. You will also provide thorough documentation to ensure proper reimbursement, patient safety, and seamless patient management across the team.

Requirements
- Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy
- At least 18 years of age, or 17 years of age and enrolled in a Board-approved high school technician training program in Ohio
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 17 years of age and enrolled in a Board-approved high school technician training program in Ohio
- 0 to 6 months of experience required
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Knowledge of all appropriate service and business metrics and ability to assist on action plans to improve outcomes
- Demonstrate adherence to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations including HIPAA
Responsibilities
- Execute Medication Therapy Management for the company through competency in MTM platforms
- Contact patients, schedule appointments, and perform follow-up calls using established best practices and MTM platforms
- Use the pharmacy computer to complete all actions necessary to provide optimal patient care, including data entry
- Properly schedule and perform follow-up adherence calls to ensure success and continued compliance with medication
- Provide adequate notes and documentation within platform to ensure proper reimbursement, patient safety, and seamless management of patients
- Accurately read and data enter new prescriptions in the computer including billing to third parties, compounds, calculations, and free form prescriptions
- Add and update prescriptions on Auto-fill
- Report errors, omissions, and incidents to pharmacist
