Join our team as a PRN Pharmacy Technician at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Plaza Retail Pharmacy. The role assists pharmacists with the preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications according to Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy rules and INTEGRIS Health policies.

Daily work includes obtaining drug products, placing them in appropriate containers, labeling containers, and presenting them for pharmacist review. Additional tasks involve repackaging medications and operating automatic dispensing machines such as Pyxis and RxOBOT.

The position is part of Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system. Working PRN offers flexible scheduling while supporting the mission to partner with people to live healthier lives through accurate medication handling.

This role requires population specific competencies and adherence to all safety protocols when handling medications, including those classified as hazardous by OSHA.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • CPhT certification within 90 days of hire for anyone without a current Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician license
  • Phase I Training completed within 1 week of hire
  • Phase II Training ongoing or completed within first 90 days of receiving license
  • 25 wpm typing speed

Responsibilities

  • Obtains drug products, places them in appropriate containers, labels containers, and presents them to a registered pharmacist for review and approval
  • Repackages and labels medications, issues and records floor stock items, inspects floor stock in assigned areas, and reports findings to the pharmacy supervisor
  • Operates and restocks automatic dispensing machines including Pyxis machines and the RxOBOT
  • Ensures the timely and accurate delivery of medications
  • Issues and records all inventory transactions for scheduled and non-scheduled medications, assuring counts balance with book value
  • Answers the pharmacy window and telephone, manages charging and crediting of medications, and maintains emergency cart medications
